inside the store i stared and gawked and awed at the shelves lined with thin boxes. each box covered in pretty drawings and photograps with brightly colored logos. the newest movies sat on shelves that ran along the sunshine-colored walls. i chose two documentaries that seemed interesting and that i thought might help make me smarter. i stood in line to pay for them with my plastic card. before i left, the man at the counter gave me six pieces of paper. that seems like a lot of peices of paper for my pockets. usually when people give me bits of paper i throw them away.
