Homer Simpson does it. I may have been influenced. Admittedly, Ive been a devout viewer for 15 years.
A friend of mine has a theory that someday well all speak in Simpsonian, constantly saying phrases like, Ill get those murderous trolls, or Cant sleep, clown will eat me, or Do I know what rhetorical means? Listen to your peers. Its already happening in your everyday talky-chatty casual conversation.
Heres some junk and things and stuff I say:
(You might think Im just one of the 40 million function illiterates in this country. To that I say, Yeah, functionally illiterate LIKE A FOX!)
Berail a combination of berate and running someone out on a rail.
Example: Theres no need to berail me over hollow pop music. I have nothing to do with Hoobastank.
Hoo Fa Fa Just like a Bru Ha Ha, which is a loud and rambunctious event or happening. Except a Hoo Fa Fa usually involves someone who is acting so Elizabeth Taylor.
Elizabeth Taylor a descriptive way of saying someone has had enough barbiturates and champagne to start stumbling around and yelling at people as though they are in an Albee play.
Finagle a Bagel Technically a chain of bagel cafes found in Massachusetts, but Ive started this annoying habit of saying this whenever Im trying to get something from someone
Example: Im going to finagle a bagel and try to steal that Meet the Feebles DVD from Molly.
Obtainable I mean to say attainable. Hell, they mean the same thing.
Eg least Instead of saying, At least. This is just sloppy speech, but Ive heard other people do it, too. Maybe WERE right and YOURE wrong! Eg least I've never mispronounced nuclear.
Percise Instead of precise. This makes me chuckle for PERcisely the reason youd think.
Ellaphone! an elephant telephone. It wails like a mastadon for a ring tone! You talk into the trunk! Think about it! Its brilliant!
Vanilla Folders I know theyre MANILLA folders. But they ARE the color of vanilla ice cream. This description is cuter. Dont you think?
Comments
IOn that last one: they are SO not the color of vanilla ice cream. For that you'd have to call them French Vanilla Folders.

Go ahead and call me an elitist, but French Vanilla is the only real vanilla. That white vanilla...it struggles.

Actually, it depends on what you grew up with. If you had Hood Vanilla Ice Cream, like I, and I'm sure Nicole, had, then it does look like vanilla. However, if you grew up with fancy Breyer's, then you probably have no idea what Nicole is talking about.
So, depending on your frame of reference, they are SO the color of vanilla, you elitist jackhole.

By the way, Andrew is the elitist, not Nicole. She's just crazy.

Ooooooo. We likes the word 'elitist,' eh?
Posted by: nicole | July 8, 2004 1:00 PM
Nicole, isn't there another made up word you use all the time? Some contraction of "half-ass" and something else. I forget.
Ah, it was "half-hassard". I don't forget.

Also, don't you holejacks have anything better to do than to sit around all day tossing around accusations of elitism? It's lies!
You know, "tie list" is an anagram for "elitist", because only the exorbantly elite could be so pompous as to make a list of all their neckties. (I'm not going to name any names, Jakob).
Little miss female elitist may seem great at first, but well... let's just say that "tits lie". Not to berail Nicole.
Sorry. Enough bullshiting on this "site, til" later. [brain explodes]
